演讲摘要：

We examine how political ties influence information disclosure in charitable organizations in an emerging market. We argue that charities’ political ties have opposing impact on organizations’ information disclosure depending on whether the disclosure practices are state mandated or voluntary for which state pressure varies. We further probe the resource dependence mechanisms by investigating different factors that moderate their relationship. Our investigation of Chinese charities from 2010 to 2014 provides strong support for the predictions. This study enhances our understanding for political ties and information disclosure

演讲人简介：

Dr. Na Ni is an Associate Professor of Management at the Shenzhen Audencia Business School (SABS), Shenzhen University, China. Her primary research interests focus on corporate social responsibility, non-profit management in China, and the application of configurational approaches in the field of Management. She has published in highly ranked academic journals such as Strategic Management Journal, Strategic Organization, Journal of Business Ethics, British Journal of Management, Public Administration Research,and Research in the Sociology of Organizations. She has taught courses related to management and organization theory, strategic management, and corporate social responsibility at both the undergraduate and graduate (MBA) levels. She also serves on the editorial review board of Management and Organization Review and Journal of Business Research and is a regular reviewer and presenter of papers for academic journals and international conferences. She obtained her Ph.D. in Management from the University of Manitoba, Canada. Before Joining Shenzhen University, she worked at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
